The mission of Resource Services is to provide Yukon students and teachers with quality resources and to encourage, develop, and enhance the opportunities for research learning, and teaching.
Resource Services has three main areas of responsibility : Curriculum materials
Resource Services operates a central warehouse of materials and purchases materials from publishers. We produce the annual Catalogue of Curriculum Materials and Catalogue du matériel pédagogique. Schools purchase their curriculum (text) materials from Resource Services with their Curriculum Materials Credit Allocation (CMCA).
School Libraries
Our staff provides support and expertise to the schools in library management and book selection. We maintain an electronic database of all school library holdings and manage the website where these collections can be searched.
Resource Services Collection
Resource Services houses a circulating collection of about 15,000 titles. These media/print resources support the curriculum and are available for varying loan periods to teachers. We welcome suggestions for new acquisitions.
